My name is Liz, I live in Austin, Texas, and this is Stevie Nicks. She wandered up onto my porch one night a few weeks and I’ve made sure she has kibble and clean water every day since then. I don’t have an age estimate on her but she’s young and probably the sweetest cat I’ve ever encountered. She’s bossy, has this loud raspy cry, loves to cuddle, and is apparently very pregnant.

I couldn’t take her in before but was fine with having her as a porch pet until I could get her spayed. Now that I’m pretty sure she’s pregnant the rush is on to find a place for her and her future kittens where they’ll be taken care of. She hasn’t had any shots and might have fleas and/or worms, like most strays do. Other than normal stray cat issues, she’s a very healthy cat and doesn’t shy away from humans easily (she’ll jump into any available lap and let me pick her up without anything more than a meow).

Like I said, I live in Austin, Texas, and I’m hoping to find someone who can help Stevie out. She’s such a beautiful and sweet cat I hate the thought of her ending up like the other wild cats in my neighbourhood.

If you’re interested in helping out, or know someone who might be interested, please feel free to leave a message in my askbox. Even if you aren’t in the area or can’t help, PLEASE reblog this so that Stevie can find a forever home instead of sleeping under our neighbour’s kayak.

I’m reposting this because it’s been a few days and Stevie is starting to emerge less and less from wherever she’s hiding (not under the kayak any more) and I’m getting really concerned about her. I’ve asked around to rescue groups and due to the fires, they don’t have any foster homes that can take in a new cat. So I’m a little frantic.
